This Privacy Policy explains how the Platform collects, processes, stores, uses, and discloses personal data in connection with the Application.
Barcelona TaxiGo is operated by Berlin GmbH LLC, registration number 1467717.06, 212 N. 2nd St. STE 100, Richmond, KY 40475, USA, which acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Application, the website and connected AI assistants. Contact: [email protected].
Users sign in with their mobile phone number and a PIN or verification code; where the mobile app offers Apple Sign In, Apple shares basic account information such as name and email address. Users and Providers provide their full name and phone number, and an email address where requested. If a ride request is accepted, the full name and phone number of the User and the accepting Provider are displayed to each other solely for direct communication purposes.
Barcelona TaxiGo can be used from AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. Place search and fare estimates work without an account: the assistant sends us the place names or addresses you mention and we return places and estimated fares, without linking them to you. To request, check or cancel a ride, you sign in on Barcelona TaxiGo's own sign-in page with your phone number and PIN; the assistant never sees your PIN. We then process the pickup, destination, vehicle type and ride status for your account, as in the app, and give the assistant an access token limited to your rides. We do not access your conversations, contacts or device location: you tell the assistant where the ride starts and ends. You can disconnect at any time in the assistant's settings, which ends its access. The AI provider processes your conversation under its own privacy policy.
The Platform may request additional documentation from Providers, including but not limited to a driver's licence, identity card, passport, or other officially valid identification documents where necessary for service integrity.
Location data is processed strictly for the purpose of displaying ride requests to relevant Providers. The Platform does not provide live ride tracking.
Barcelona TaxiGo does not process ride payments. The fare is paid directly to the driver at the end of the ride, by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash. We do not receive or store payment card details.
The Application may display third-party advertisements, including Google AdMob. Third-party advertising partners may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Ride request details are shared with Providers so they can accept and carry out the ride. Personal data is also shared, only as far as necessary, with service providers for hosting, maps and address search, and account verification. Personal data will be disclosed to authorities only in response to a valid and legally binding order.
Personal data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Users may request deletion of their account data by emailing [email protected].
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect personal data. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from data processing.
Any dispute relating to this Privacy Policy shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by applicable law.
